About remembr

We missed printed photos.

remembr is a small studio building one thing well: a screen-free keepsake that captures the year you actually lived, on paper, with no homework.

The short version

We grew up with shoeboxes of photos in our parents’ closets. Our own photos live in a cloud we’ll never open. That asymmetry bothered us, so we built a way to bring them into the world without asking anyone to do more.

remembr runs quietly on your phone, picks the keepers, lays them out, and ships a real hardcover book to your door every season. There’s nothing to do, and nothing to maintain.

Our promises

  • Most of the work happens on your phone. Scoring runs on-device. We never upload your library in bulk. A small shortlist of likely keepers is sent through our backend to Anthropic for layout and caption fine-tuning; everything else stays put.
  • No engagement traps. No streaks, no nudges, no daily app to open.
  • Human support. Real replies from a small team, usually within a day.
  • Honest pricing. One subscription, free shipping, cancel any time.
  • Make it well. A premium hardcover photo book, printed and shipped through Gelato, our print-on-demand partner, with local production in the US.

How we print

We don’t run our own press. We work with Gelato, a print-on-demand partner with regional production around the world, so your book is made close to you and the carbon cost of shipping stays low. We start in the US; Europe is next.

The team

We’re a tiny team building one thing carefully. There’s Liv, who started this because she couldn’t print a single photo for her grandma. Dev, who wrote the on-device scorer. And a rotating cast of friends who help with covers, type-setting, packaging and the inbox.

We’re hiring

Sometimes. Not right now. When we open roles we’ll post them on the contact page.

The web has enough places to scroll. We wanted to make something to hold.
