This is the agreement between you and remembr, Inc. We try to write terms a real person can read. Please do.
remembr is a service operated by remembr, Inc. When this page says “we,” “us,” or “remembr,” we mean the company. When it says “you,” we mean the human (or authorized gift-giver) using the service.
By making a reservation, starting a subscription, or buying a gift, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service. (We won’t take it personally.)
You need to be 18 or older to create an account. You’re responsible for keeping your sign-in safe and for everything that happens under your account. If something’s off, email help@remembr.co and we’ll lock it down.
A remembr subscription is a recurring service where we design and ship a printed book every season (about every three months) for as long as you’re subscribed. You may pause, skip, switch tiers, or cancel at any time from the app.
You’re billed when a book ships. If a season is too light on photos and we skip the book, no charge for that season.
The $1 reservation holds a spot in the launch press run and locks in a 50% discount on your first book. It’s fully refundable any time before the first book ships. The 50% discount applies to the first book only, is non-transferable, and is subject to availability at launch. We reserve the right to modify or withdraw the promotional discount before launch.
Prices on the pricing page are in US dollars and exclude any applicable sales tax. We’ll calculate and show tax at checkout based on your shipping address. We may change prices for new subscribers at any time; we won’t change the price you’re already paying without 30 days’ notice and the option to cancel.
Books are printed and shipped through Gelato, our print-on-demand partner, using its regional carriers. Risk of loss passes to you when the carrier marks the package delivered. If a book arrives damaged, see returns. We’ll re-print and re-ship within 14 days of delivery.
Love it or your money back, within 30 days of each book’s delivery. Cancel future shipments any time. Full details and edge cases live on returns.
You own your photos. Always. By using remembr you grant us a limited, revocable license to lay them out in your book and to send the finished print file to our print partner (Gelato). We don’t use your photos for marketing, training, or any other purpose. The license ends when you delete your account.
Don’t use remembr to print content that’s illegal, infringes someone’s rights, or that we’d be embarrassed to put on a press. If a book preview includes anything we’re legally barred from printing, we’ll let you know and not print it. Refunds still apply.
We aim for 99.9% uptime on the app and reliable, on-schedule shipping. We can’t promise either is perfect. If we mess up an order, we’ll fix it. If we have to suspend the service for maintenance or force majeure, we’ll communicate clearly.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We’re not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the greater of $50 or the fees you paid us in the previous 12 months.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Most disputes can be resolved by email, please write us first. If we can’t resolve it, any formal dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, and both of us consent to that jurisdiction.
If we make material changes, we’ll email you at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use remembr after that means you accept the new terms. If you don’t accept them, you can cancel before they take effect for a full refund of any pre-paid period.
