The basics
What is remembr, really?
A subscription that quietly turns the photos already on your phone into a printed, hardcover book that arrives at your door every season. No editing, no logging in, no homework.
How often do books ship?
Four times a year, one book per season. Spring ships in early June, summer in early September, fall in early December, winter in early March.
How many pages in a book?
Seasonal books are 60 pages (about 40 photos). Keepsake books are 80 pages (about 60 photos). We never pad a book to fill a page count.
Photos & privacy
How do you pick the photos?
We score every photo for sharpness, smiles, framing, exposure, and whether it’s a duplicate or a screenshot. The keepers float to the top. You can swap any of them in the preview.
Where do my photos go?
Most stay on your phone. We score every photo on-device. A small shortlist of likely keepers gets sent through our backend to our AI partner (Anthropic) to fine-tune the order, layout and captions, then the finished, laid-out PDF goes to our print partner (Gelato). Read the details on privacy.
Can I keep people out of the book?
Yes. Tap a face in the preview once, choose “skip in books,” and they’re left out of this book and all future ones.
What about NSFW photos?
Our scoring is conservative, anything ambiguous gets skipped by default. The preview is your last word.
Designing & previews
Do I have to design anything?
No. We pick the photos, lay them out, design the cover and add a one-line season caption. Most people just hit ship.
Can I preview the book before it prints?
Yes, a few days before each book prints, we send a preview. Tap “looks great” or swap any photo. Don’t reply? It ships on schedule.
Can I change the cover?
Yes. Tap the cover in the preview and pick from your shortlist of 10 candidates, or use any photo from the season.
Billing & shipping
When am I charged?
You’re charged when a book ships. If a season was too light on photos and we skip the book, you don’t pay.
Can I cancel anytime?
Of course. Two taps in the app. Nothing else is billed from then on. See returns.
Do you ship internationally?
US-only at launch. Canada planned for late 2026, Europe in 2027. More on shipping.
What if the book arrives damaged?
Email us a photo and we’ll send a new one in 7 days, free. Always.
Gifts & sharing
Can I gift remembr?
Yes, flat-price packs of 1 or 4 books, with no auto-renewal. See gifting.
Can a couple share one subscription?
Yes. Two phones can feed one book. The keepers come from both libraries.
